F ounded in 1996 by Darren Mavir as a Sporting shoot, the club has expanded over the years. A ll traps are fully automatic on the sporting layouts . It’s a well maintained and friendly club with a club house which serves tea and coffee. Throughout the year several competitions are held with trophies and prizes to be won (you have to be a member to enter these), there’s also a coaching area for the complete novice and any shooter who wants to improve or iron out any problems with their shooting. The club is there for it’s members and non members alike, so help us to help you by reading and obeying the club rules, these can be found under Fixtures & Rules or in the club house. LFCC is fully insured and holds a current section 11.6 police exemption certificate. This allows people who do not hold a current shotgun license to shoot under the supervision of a competent instructor. If you are not a license holder please make yourself known when booking in, see rule 3 in Fixtures & Rules. In 2018 Darren opened The Beaters Lodge, which sells affordable clothing to the shooting community, it also stocks clays, cartridges and a range of new and used guns, as well as carrying out gun servicing and repairs.
